# Access to Biodiversity Monitoring Tools

Biodiversity data is scarce, especially in the Global Majority. To address this, communities need incentives to collect and share biodiversity data, making it part of their livelihood through supplemental income.

### What We Offer

#### 1. Capacity Building for Biodiversity Monitoring Tools

We provide training and support for deploying biodiversity monitoring tools like:

* **Drones**
* **AudioMoths**
* [**Tree Measurement App**](/solutions/biodiversity-monitoring/tree-measurement-app.md)

Support includes:

* **Written Guides** and **Online Mentoring**.
* For select funded projects, we offer **in-person mentoring, co-design, and tool enhancement**.
* While we do not provide hardware (such as drones, AudioMoths, phones, or laptops), community partners can use [**Web3 funding**](/community/access-to-web3-funding.md)—which we offer capacity-building for—to acquire their own equipment.

#### 2. Conservation Data Income (CDI)

* Communities that collect and share biodiversity data publicly can earn **CDI payments**.
* Payments are facilitated through **blockchain and crypto**, ensuring speed, accessibility for unbanked communities, and transparency.
* This payment model applies to specific **collaborations and projects**.

#### 3. Public Data on Green Globe

* Data can be published on [**Green Globe**](https://maps.gainforest.app/), feeding into a **global biodiversity database**.
  * Communities can use this for **accountability**, showcasing funded work transparently.
  * Public data can also help **attract new funders**.
* We may provide **support for data analysis and visualization**.
* Data can also be utilized during our **hackathons**, fostering innovation and new conservation solutions.
