# Access to Web3 Funding

One of our main goals is to onboard nature stewards into Web3 and increase their access to Web3 funding. Many grassroots organizations rely on traditional funding, which can be restrictive and involve lengthy application and reporting processes. Web3 funding offers a more accessible and flexible alternative with benefits such as:

* Shorter application and reporting processes compared to traditional funding.
* Support for projects of all sizes, not just large organizations.
* Transparent, decentralized funding models through Web3 governance.

### What We Offer

Community partners receive:

* **Funding Alerts** – Notifications on when and how to apply.
* **Capacity Building** – One-on-one support and mentoring via WhatsApp, including:
  * Creating and securing a **MetaMask wallet**.
  * Best practices for **applying** and **reporting**.
  * Converting **crypto to local currency**.
  * Engaging in **Web3 governance**.
* **Written Guides** – Step-by-step resources on Web3 funding, application processes, and best practices.

### Web3 Funding Resources

Currently, capacity-building support is available for the following funding opportunities:

#### External Funding Platforms

1. [**Gitcoin Grants**](https://grants.gitcoin.co/) – Crowdfunded grants for impactful projects.
2. [**Giveth**](https://giveth.io/) – Community-driven donations for social and environmental initiatives.

#### Internal Funding Platforms

1. [**Nature Guild**](/solutions/the-nature-guild.md) – GainForest’s community treasury for all community partners. Anyone can donate to this treasury, and funds are gradually disbursed based on activeness and engagement.
2. [**EcoCertain**](https://ecocertain.vercel.app/) **(Hypercerts Marketplace)** – GainForest’s marketplace for impact certificates, built on the Hypercerts Foundation model. Community partners can 'sell' their impact certificates to secure funding for their next conservation efforts.
