# Supporting Bumicerts Projects

Bumicerts Projects help nature stewards, communities, and local organizations show their work, share evidence, and attract support.

For funders and supporters, a Project page is a place to understand **who is doing the work, what they are trying to change, and what evidence supports their story**.

This section is about supporting **Bumicerts Projects on GainForest.app**, not donating to GainForest as an organization.

## What to look for on a Project

When reviewing a Project, look for:

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>📖 Story</strong></td><td>Who is leading the work, where it happens, what the Project is trying to do, and why it matters.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>🌿 Focus</strong></td><td>The type of work being done, such as restoration, biodiversity monitoring, forest protection, community stewardship, or education.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>🔎 Evidence</strong></td><td>Linked observations, photos, sounds, tree data, reports, field notes, or external links that support the Project.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>📣 Updates</strong></td><td>Recent activity that shows progress, context, or continuing stewardship.</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Evidence-backed support

Bumicerts is designed so Projects can be supported by evidence, not just claims.

A Project may include evidence such as:

* biodiversity observations
* photos and field notes
* AudioMoth sound recordings
* tree data or structured datasets
* drone imagery or survey exports
* reports, documents, dashboards, or external links
* community updates and Project timeline posts

This helps funders and supporters understand what has happened, what is being monitored, and how the Project is building a public record over time.

## Ways to support

If a Project has support enabled, you may be able to contribute through the Project page.

Some Projects may use a receiving wallet or donation setup connected to their Project.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Always check that you are supporting the correct Project and receiving address. Crypto transfers cannot usually be reversed.
{% endhint %}

## Good questions to ask before supporting

Before funding or partnering with a Project, consider:

* Is the Project story clear?
* Is the organization or steward visible?
* Is there evidence linked to the Project?
* Are updates recent and understandable?
* Does the requested support match the Project goals?
* Is the Project connected to a community, place, or stewardship activity you understand?

## Why fund through Bumicerts Projects?

Supporting a Bumicerts Project can help nature stewards:

* gain visibility
* report impact
* build a public record of stewardship
* attract follow-on funding
* connect community work with evidence
* show funders and partners what is happening on the ground

For communities and local organizations, this can make it easier to prove stewardship, share progress, and build trust with supporters.
