Uploading Evidence

Uploading data is how communities turn fieldwork into evidence on Bumicerts. Data can be added to GainForest.app, reviewed where needed, and linked to a Project to support stewardship, impact reporting, visibility, and funding.

Choose the right upload pathway

  1. Start with biodiversity observations Use Add observations for field photos, species sightings, and notes.

  2. Use Tainá for interactive learning Tainá can support AI-assisted species identification and community learning. It is especially useful for BioBlitz activities and first-time users.

  3. Use batch upload for larger datasets If you have many files, survey exports, tree data, drone imagery, or structured datasets, submit them for team review. Tree data can include planted trees, naturally regenerated trees, or existing tree inventories.

  4. Use the AudioMoth page if you are deploying sensors This is currently for AudioMoth workflows only. Other bioacoustic sensors are not integrated yet.

  5. Link evidence to your Project This makes your data useful for stewardship, reporting, visibility, and funding.

What happens after upload?

Uploaded data becomes most useful when it is connected to a Project. A Project brings together your story, goals, updates, and evidence so that funders, partners, reviewers, and community members can understand what is happening on the ground.
